The Shakespeare bust arrived today in record breaking time and in great condition – very well packed. It was presented to my husband as a gift this evening. He loves it. It is extremely well done, just what I had hoped it would be. Naturally, I am pleased on all counts.

The Veiled Bride arrived safely this morning and I am very pleased with it. I have collected such items as I can afford from the Spode/Copeland factory and have always admired this sculpture by Monti but, as a Copeland original now costs thousands, there is no way that I could afford one.

As I said, it is very well done and, even close up, would be difficult to see that it is not a parian original. I am impressed with the fact that, like a lot of Copeland parian, it is semi translucent in the thin parts of the veil.
